Ceramic Workshops

Incredible Edible Marshland, Village, Village Hall, What’s On

Following the popularity of the ceramic workshop with Jen, we are excited to welcome her back to do another workshop for us, in fact this will be a series of two to add glazing skills to finish the items.

Session 1

Friday 2 October 7pm to 9pm
This time we will be making two items from either a small dish with a suggested variety of unusual shapes…. (see photos for exciting inspiration) and/or a shadow caster (a tea light holder which throws shadows of the design on to the wall….Halloween??)

Session 2

Friday 16 October 7pm to 9pm
The second workshop is where your bisque fired items will reappear for you to apply glaze to colour and finish them before they are fired for you. Includes refreshments, tuition, materials and firing. You will get your items back approximately 2-3 weeks after the workshop. All materials, tuition and bisque firing are included plus refreshments.

Pumpkin Flower Power – Floral Workshop

Come and join Lovelee Flowers for a relaxed and creative autumn evening, where you’ll make your own beautiful fresh flower pumpkin arrangement to take home.

Using a seasonal mix of fresh flowers, autumn foliage, berries and decorative greenery, you’ll create a rich, colourful display inspired by the warm tones of autumn. You’ll be shown how to arrange the flowers, build shape and texture, and combine the different elements to create a striking centrepiece.

No previous floristry experience is needed — this is designed to be an enjoyable, hands-on craft evening suitable for beginners as well as anyone who simply loves flowers and seasonal decorating.

Booking is required and spaces are limited.

The arrangements will be created in plastic pumpkin-style buckets, helping them stay fresh for longer so you can enjoy your finished piece at home throughout the autumn season.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, come enjoy a creative evening out.

Judging

Judging will take place approximately:

10:45am – 1:00pm

The hall must be vacated during judging.

Entries & Awards

  • Entry fee: 50p per entry (all sections)
  • Certificate awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places
  • Special Junior Section with awards

All classes:
The judges’ decision is final.
