Councillors John Briggs and Julie Reed will once again be representing Axholme North.
After a very successful summer of Farm Club, we are excited to be holding a weekly after school Farm Club! Over the summer, more than 30 kids had lots of fun learning how a working farm runs at the busiest time in a farmer’s calendar: harvest time! They got hands on with the pigs, alpacas and chickens, tended to the kitchen garden and went on trailer rides down the farm.
All these fun activities will take place every Thursday throughout term time from 3:45-4:45. We will be walking children from Eastoft Primary to save parents having to drop them off as we are so close. We are hoping parents from local villages will be able to make the short journey and maybe club together to journey share!
There are endless benefits to children attending farm club such as increased physical activity, improved social and communication skills, it develops children’s knowledge on farm to fork process and the environment, and also improves children’s mental and physical well-being and attention span! We hope to see lots of faces there every Thursday during term time, and don’t forget your Children’s University passports!

Until the end of November, Community Champions benefits a wide range of local community groups, charities and organisations in your area.
Every time a member shops in a Lincolnshire Co-op outlet, a donation will be made through the scheme. Staff fundraising and the carrier bag levy will also go into the pot.
You’ll find a list of all the groups below – and it will also be displayed on the totem stands in your outlets. And of course, just check your receipt to see who you’ll be helping!

Treasurer role is to; keep records of all monies coming in and out, do banking, create petty cash float for events, organise external auditing of accounts, complete annual Charity Commission Return.
E.C.W.A have successfully applied for a grant of £13,500 from North Lincolnshire Community Fund to undertake phase 1 of the Eastoft playground redevelopment.
To date the following have been completed:
It has also been a time of extensive liaison with Playdales (the original suppliers of the playground equipment) to replace timbers on the swings, log walk and chain rail that had rotted despite being well within the guarantee period!
The final parts of phase 1 will be to lay a concrete bed with matting at both the entrance to the playground and underneath the swings. This should improve the ground surface in wet weather and remove the need to, annually, top up the bark.
The remaining action will be to replace a porthole on the toddler adventure playground, which has been vandalised, and this will be done from E.C.W.A funds.
