Eastoft Gardening Club is new village club, still very much in its infancy, but with passion and enthusiasm in spades, or is that buckets or barrowfulls – Meetings held on the last Wednesday of each month in the Village Hall at 7:30pm
Driving or walking through the village it is quite apparent that a lot of the residents are very proud of their gardens.
I don’t mean the Monty Dons of this world, although they are welcome, I mean people who simply enjoy and take pride in keeping their gardens looking nice. It doesn’t matter if we don’t know the Latin names, or English for that matter or what to plant where and when.
The benefits for individuals and the community as a whole are very interesting bulk purchase, plant swaps, help and advice, visits to nurseries and gardens etc.
