High Voltage !

Dear Sir/Madam

Last summer we introduced our proposals to reinforce the electricity transmission network between a new substation to the north of Hull, near Creyke Beck, and a new substation at High Marnham in Nottinghamshire.

Our first stage of public consultation ran for eight weeks, from 1 June to 27 July 2023. We would once again like to thank everyone who took the time to attend our public consultation events and provide feedback.

Attached to this email please find our Community update newsletter, which we have posted to just under 12,000 properties located within 1km of the emerging preferred corridor. The newsletter will also be available on our website in due course, in the “News” section.

If you have any questions, please contact us at contact@nh-hm.nationalgrid.com or call our community relations line at 0800 051 4430.

We look forward to hearing from you.

  Yours sincerely,

  Rachel Tullis

True Grit

Dear Resident,

North Lincolnshire Council Surface Dressing Programme 2022 Season

  • B1392 Eastoft to Luddington
  • Meredyke Road
  • Northfield Lane

Duration 1 day – 11th July 2022.

Please be aware the roads mentioned above are due to be surface dressed in the coming month. Please note that the dates above are weather critical; the treatment cannot be undertaken during inclement weather, as the surface needs to be dry for application. Consequently, the dates may vary to accommodate the weather.

You will be notified by the Contractor, usually the day before, when the surface dressing is to be carried out in your street. Please note we will not shut all the roads simultaneously. On completion of a road, it will be re-opened and the contractor will move onto another.

NO VEHICLES SHOULD BE LEFT ON THE ROAD ON THE DAY OF THE TREATMENT AND OFF STREET PARKING SHOULD BE UTILISED OR CARS REMOVED FROM THE STREET UNTIL THE WORKS ARE COMPLETE.

Due to the nature of the works and the restricted road widths, it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic. Advance warning signs will be erected shortly before commencement of the works. All residents/occupiers within the extents of the road closure will be able to access their properties and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained but there will inevitably be some disruption and inconvenience, your patience and understanding will be much appreciated.

Please see the attached leaflet with further details on surface dressing treatments.

Yours faithfully,

Paige Leake
